Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz. A sweepingly beautiful story of love, acceptance, and what makes a monster and what makes a man.

SUSD #30 DRAMA CLUB INVITES ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO AUDITION FOR The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Initial Auditions: September 14th/15th, 2026
Callbacks: September 16th/17th, 2026 (By invitation only)
For students auditioning:
Vocal Auditions: Please prepare a 16 bar cut (30 seconds) of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. The song should NOT be one from Hunchback. The song should be FULLY memorized!
Acting Auditions: Please prepare a 30-60 second monologue. This should be FULLY memorized!
Dance Auditions: You will be taught a short portion of choreography on the day of your audition and will get to perform in small groups for the casting team.
Have questions? Come to our first Drama Club meeting on Wednesday August 5 (WGHS during lunch, SHS after school). We will also have a Parent/Student information meeting on Monday August 31st, 2026 in the WGHS Cafeteria

No prior experience is required—only a passion for precision and a drive to create immersive worlds from behind the curtain.
